RecommendAll of a sudden Neko Case is a media darling and on the cover of every alternative magazine including the coveted CMJ. What has happened to this former punk drummer? Has she fallen off the Cub wagon and right into a country mode that she can't turn away from? Let's hope not! Furnace Room Lullaby is one of the best altera-no depression-americana-country albums to come along since Whiskeytown's last offering. With too many guests to even start to list she has proven her knack for singing in the country vein. Nice upbeat ramblers are mixed in with the lonesome ballads with no effort whatsoever. Move over Emmylou, country has a new Queen.
