Shark Quest is quite a hard band to pin-point. First off, they're instrumental. Secondly, they're all over the map. They integrate elements of surf rock like Dick Dale and Link Wray but also have a bit of a Morricone feel to them. It's almost like this music is being written as a soundtrack for some travel movie where the lead is going on some huge road trip and not knowing where he/she is going to end up. There are times when other elements are thrown in for a suprise too. Like bluegrass, folk and bossa nova. Banjo is added to many tracks as switch-up in sound. It's almost like a Heuvos Rancheros for the older crowd. A very intelligent release that just gets right into your soul with all the instruments playing a crucial part..
