" Walking on the Moon " marked a return to the starker, more reggae sound of their first album. This was a slower but well crafted track which somehow never failed to really get going. Still, at this point anything the Police did was almost certain to be a hit. Don't get me wrong, this was not a bad song, and if you listened to it without concentrating you could be fooled into thinking it was actually quite good. But at the end of the day, this was not the Police's finest hour, though it was better than the awful "Da Do Do Do" or whatever it was called.
