Now that they have dropped the Mountain, Seven Storey is ready to rock like never before. This three-piece band is really out to change the face of what people perceive when they think of Deep Elm and their artists. Seven Storey. The album kicks off with a chugging instrumental track conveniently entitled “Instr. 1. This kind of brings you up to speed on what you can expect with the sound these guys are shooting for. The next track, “Unknown Satellite, goes even one step further with their innocent aggressiveness. The vocal duties (taken up by Lance Lammers) are very well executed and the band follows suit nicely. They get loud but never obnoxious and they stay focused even with their loud bursts that they erupt with at times. Dividing By Zero is one of the strongest albums that I have heard so far this year. So if the Deep Elm emo connection is stopping you from checking out Seven Storey you need to open your mind up and dive in headfirst. It’s nice to see a young band with as much vision as Seven Storey.
