Peter Searcy has had quite the career already, having fronted the influential Squirrel Bait when he was only 15 and then moving on to Big Wheel. He then gave a new line up a try with Starbilly. Now content to be on his own he has secured a deal with Time Bomb and release an amazingly crisp debut solo album. Could You Please And Thank You is everything that commercial radio should be and more. Get rid of phonies like Third Ey Blind and such and make room for real pop music ala Matthew Sweet. Searcy has a knack for a catchy song, one that sticks in your head for the rest of the day. The production is stellar and if radio was smart they would jump all over this.
