Before Jimmy Page was in the Yardbirds he had a pretty full career as a session musician. But he also had a brief and largely forgettable career as a solo artist. This single is just about the only thing he put out at this time, and its not hard to see why. It is a rather unsuccessful attempt to combine garage, blues and bubblegum into a single pop song. The result is something which never really goes anywhere. I am not sure who is doing the vocals and have a sneaking suspicion it is Page himself. If so, it is no surprise why he never did much of the backing vocals for the Yardbirds or Zeppelin. It took me a long time to hunt this down, despite never having heard it before, and though it is not great it makes a superb Trivial Pursuit question.
