The hilarious side project of As I Lay Dying member Tim Lambesis, Austrian Death Machine, has returned in time for the holidays with Jingle All The Way. If you're familar with what ADM is about, and also the Arnold movie from which this EP gets it's title, then you're most likely in for a treat. These three tracks are hilarious, perhaps more so for me than some others because of the running joke this movie is between me and a few friends/family members of mine. For everyone else, you get 3 intense doses of manly metal backed by vocals from the manliest man ever to live.
"I'M NOT A PERVERT! I WAS JUST LOOKING FOR A TURBOMAN DOLL!"
I'm not even going to bother reviewing this album as I typically do. Suffice to say, the names of the tracks are I'm Not A Pervert, It's Turbo Time and Who Said You Could Eat My Cookies?. If you've ever seen the movie, then you probably know what's up before you even hear the songs. Listen, however, for some fun metal, convincing Ahhnold mimicking and an overall feel of the big LOL.
I actually never bothered with their debut album, but I think I'm going to have to after hearing this.
"What the hell's the matter with you? You totally forgot the guitar solo! YOU IDIOTS! Play it. Play it NOW!"- Ahnold, "It's Turbo Time".
"If you're going to sound like cookie monster, then we might as well write a song about cookies!" - Ahnold, "Who Said You Could Eat My Cookies?"
Legendary stuff.
