Outside it is typical British cold and damp December day. As I watch the cloying fog settle over the city below me and the remnants of last weeks snow finally melting, it is one of those days which make you wish that summer would come a lot sooner. What better song to listen to at a time like this than Haircut 100's " Fantastic Day" . A bright and light pop song with some great hooks and the occasional cameo appearance by a horn section, this song reminds you that brighter times are ahead. Full of the joys of a summer evening after a great day doing whatever you wish, this is the sort of pop music which would brighten up even the miserable soul on the most miserable day.
