Most would agree most popular artists out there have something truly special to give to their fans. This goes above the typical attributes like raw talent, amazing songs, nice voice, or even a very marketable look, sound and image. There's something truly infectious at the core of these artists that simply makes us feel good when we listen to them. Whatever "it" is - they all seem to have "it".

Today I listened to the latest CD from Southern California singer/songwriter Fang I-Liu entitled Confessions - 2011. Fang I-Liu is a native of Taiwan and possesses a striking look. Venturing to her website it is a very professional presentation indeed showing this is his debut release. From start to finish this EP from Fang I-Liu is very pleasurable. It has a very soothing Pop Rock and Rock quality to it. Any fans of any of these musical styles will enjoy this latest release from Fang I-Liu. It's clearly marketed for those who like a female fronted singer with a mystique of say a Jody Watley, Cathy Dennis and Sheena Easton. Fang I-Liu is armed with many impressive attributes - voice, look and persona. Favorite tracks include Track 1 (Stupid Questions) and Track 2 (China Doll). All pieces have amazing feel. Within each one of these compositions Fang I-Liu finds her soul and delivers amazing vocal performances. Her band is spot on and just makes the whole EP even more enjoyable. The overall vibe is upbeat and positive - but here are a few pin drop moments as well. Fang I-Liu is not afraid of baring her soul so to speak. All song are very honest and passionate showcasing an azaming spirit.

I see Fang I-Liu as an undiscovered diamond in the rough. As time goes by she will no doubt refine and fine-tune her upcoming Full Length release. I am eager to hear what a fully loaded CD will sound like. In close most famous artists out there have 'it' I'm not so sure what it but Fang I-Liu has whatever 'it' may be.
