Nick Lowe managed to get himself somehow caught up in the punk craze which swept the UK in the late seventies. Probably it had more to do with his association with the Stiff label than anything else but, along with Dave Edmunds, his simple and endearing form of rhythm and blues seemed the ideal compliment to the sneering anti-establishment pose of the Sex Pistols and others.
Lowe had been around for quite some time but only really came to any prominence in the late seventies. Like Edmunds, this acoustic guitar driven sing-along song was to catch the ear of many people, myself included. This is such an easy on the ear listen and at the same time nice and upbeat that it is bound to get your foot tapping and lift your spirits whenever you hear it.
