It did not take long for A Flock of Seagulls to be picked up by a major label. After all, they had the right credentials for the new romantic synth-pop style of music which the mainstream was promoting at the time - catchy tunes, flashy clothes and indescribably bad hair. With the exception of the truly awful Kajagoogoo front-man, Limahl, this was the worst hair of the eighties. "I Ran" was a none too shabby single, and was one of their better outputs from their more commercial pop-electronica phase. It moved along at a faster pace than many of their others and brought them commercial success on release.
