After the might Royal Trux took their little experimentation with major labels they found themselves right back home on their reputable indie, Drag City. Vetrans of Disorder (their second album returning to Drag City) find the band at their career high providing the best album yet. Don't get me wrong though, they still play the sloppy style of rock that they have always done but they seem to have found a new form of inspiration. Probably the most listenable album too. Songs are cohesive and yet maintain the junky feel that they do so well. Royal Trux are brilliant but they don't want you to know it. They cover their well written songs with noise and grungy, almost falling apart vocals but once undisguised, the inner beauty is revealed and you begin to appreciate where the band is coming from. When you hear the track 'Second Skin' you will know what I mean. The band still share vocal duties to provide you with a diverse array of vocals.
