I listen to lots of live music. I believe I first found Arienette online as a friend of a friend or something like that. I was drawn to the combination of fresh youthful talent but also a seasoned confidence and original style. Title track The Hardest of Fights beautifully memorializes a very real and personal tragedy. I have heard and met Arienette and maybe even played a very small part in helping her book a gig at one of my favorite venues. So besides having the CD and loving it I will see and hear her live once again very soon. (And as often as I can after that!)

Most would agree most popular artists out there have something truly special to give to their fans. This goes above the typical attributes like raw talent, amazing songs, a nice voice, or even a marketable look, sound and image. There's something truly infectious at the core of these artists that simply makes the connection thus making us feel good when we listen to them. Whatever "it" is - they all seem to have "it".

Today I listened to the latest CD from Utah singer/songwriter Arienette (The Hardest of Fights - 2011). Venturing to her website - a professional presentation showing this is not her first release. From start to finish this CD from Arienette is a very pleasurable musical experience. It has a very soothing Acoustical quality to it and even dabbles in Folk, Pop Rock, and even Indie Alternative Rock. Any fans of any of these musical styles will enjoy this latest release. It's clearly marketed for those who like a feel good female singer with a mystique of say a Lisa Loeb, Natalie Imbruglia, and Alanis Morrissette. I get the impression Arienette is rolling with what she knows as an artist. Favorite tracks include Track 1 (Something Good), Track 3 (These Nights) and the title track. Within each one of these grooves Arienette finds her soul and delivers an amazing musical mojo I'm under the impression she is a solitary musical act with very little is the way of band support or session players. The overall vibe is upbeat and positive however Arienette is not afraid to explore more dark and melancholy subjects. Hence she is not afraid to tell the truth and make no attempts to sugarcoat reality.

I see Arinette as a diamond in the rough. As time goes by he will no doubt refine and fine-tune he overall sound and musical personality more. The CD is a bit conservative for me. There are risks when delivering a bare bones musical production such as this. I am eager to hear what her next release will sound like after the inclusion of a band. In close most famous artists out there have 'it.' I'm not so sure what it but Arienette has whatever 'it' may be.

Refreshing unique sound. Great song writing. Nice to hear something that is not trying so hard to sound like everyone else. I love the sone "Little Bird". The song "Ready or No"t is just plain awesome. I love the dynamics and raw nature of the CD. Not over compressed in you face all the time. I did a little research and the song Have We been Lost is about the "Trail Of Tears". I tradgic event in American History that not many people know about. "Adreneline" is very approiate, who has't felt like they were falling down and falling apart at some point in there life.
