Josh Rouse deserves as much credit and praise as fellow songwriter Ron Sexsmith. He has the same sort of meloncholic charm as Ron with what could be considered more penache for arrangements. The album's title is not really a statement of where Josh is but where he wants to be. You can hear the longing in his voice and the self-doubt in his lyrics. There is some familiarity in every song like you have been in his shoes at some point. For someone who never thought he would ever have a serious recording career he does a fine job. A fine follow up to last years brilliant collaboration with Kurt Wagner.
