When I first left the UK to live in Hong Kong, I wondered how it would be that I would hear, let alone get my hands on, the latest decent music from the UK. As a consequence of this, there were certain albums, only recently released in the UK, which were listened to avidly as they seemed to represent a music which, at the time, it seemed unlikely I would ever hear again. Heaven 17 were one such band and "Temptation" was one of those tracks which got played almost all the time, particularly whenever we went round to one guy's place.

However, within a few months it became clear that there was music there to find. It may be difficult, but you could get your hands on it. And with that Heaven 17 drifted away from my radar. It was never really my type of music - too much slick eighties production intended for the mainstream. Yet it was something which was a part of my life and when I heard "Temptation" again the other day, it brought those memories flooding back. And as I always feel that music worth having is music which evokes a memory or engenders an emotion, it was a song worth getting my hands on.
