RecommendThis must have been a fun album for Josh and Kurt to do. Kurt Wagner (Lambchop) wrote all the music and Josh Rouse wrote the lyrics. Among others, Malcom Travis (of Sugar fame) provides the sparse drumming. What they ended up with a nice feel along the lines of Lambchop but with Kurts bittersweet vocals as opposed to Kurts very meloncholic voice. Those in tune with Lambchop will recognize some of the same orchestration but will enjoy the overall happiness the album portrays. The end result is five amazingly serene tracks.
