Most would agree most popular artists out there have something truly special to give to their fans. This goes above the typical attributes like raw talent, amazing songs, nice voice, or even a very marketable look, sound & image. Theres something truly infectious at the core of these artists that simply makes us feel good when we listen to them.

Today I listened to the latest EP from Portuguese 5 piece band Noidz (Trancemetal 2011). Venturing to their website it is a very professional presentation. From start to finish this CD from Noidz is a polished sounding teaser of a production. It has a very cutting edge, modern sound & even dabbles in Chill, Dub, Metal, Rock, Techo & Alternative dark pop. I would say the EP title is right in line with their overall sound. Fans of any of these musical styles will enjoy this latest release from Noidz. Its clearly marketed for those who like a male singer with a mystique of say New Order. It reminds me of the popular 90s band Garbage on Steroids. I get the impression Noidz are just rolling with what he knows as artists & writers. Favorite tracks include (O Pastor) & (Root Sounds from Earth). All have amazing feel. Within each one of these compositions vox Monika finds her soul & delivers musical mojo. The band is spot on & just makes the whole CD even more enjoyable with hints on Celtic, rock & eerie chill type overtones.

No doubt Noidz full length CD will be out shortly. I am eager to hear what his next release will sound like. In close Trancemetal by the Noidz lives up to its name in every aspect. Like the title suggests its a fascinating glimpse into a hot new band from overseas.
