The Stereophonics have always been something of a mystery to me. They are a band which I should like a lot more than I actually do and I never really figured out why this should be so. " Have a Nice Day " is a pleasant song which brings with it a feel of optimism, of waking up on a bright sunny day, of looking forward to the future with expectant hope. Yet its association with Vodafone commercials (how many good songs have Vodafone attempted to ruin with their bloody marketing?) and the fact that it has been one of the bands most poppy releases has tended to leave it wide open to criticism. Well, I am not going to join the catcalls of those who dislike it for that reason. Forget Vodafone. This is a good, pleasant pop song well worth listening to.
