Remember when it seemed every new band emerging was trying to cash in on the garage rock revival? Well The London Souls are taking it back further. This Brooklyn-based three piece, owes a serious debt to the classics like Cream and Hendrix ("She's So Mad" and "I Think I Like It"), and their musicianship lives up to this heavy comparison. Recorded at Abbey Road studios with Ethan Johns, The London Souls debut is a slick, well-produced tried and true rock album, that in a perfect world would be burning up rock radio across the country. While their debut could have easily emerged from England in the mid 60s, it brings enough of a present day style ("She's In Control" and "Someday") to make this a modern day classic.
