Wow! I just had to get that out because Mr. Pfilbryte has impressed me totally. Preservatives Affirmative is such a different and eclectic pop album that it is hard to classify. At times it sounds like super trippy rock and then others pfil rocks right out. He is a strange cat which makes sense now when I read that he helped out on Dr. Octagon's amazing album, Octagynecologyst. Some tracks such as "And Nothin'" gently floats along unobtrusively. Other tracks like "Suburbancooltriphiphopmixofpop" layers the vocals until they are so thick you can't help but appreciate pfilbryte's studio wizardry. There are a bunch of little bit pieces done in between tracks so when you look at the track listing and see 20 tracks don't be surprised. A very cool album that is hard to categorize.
