Silly is the only way to describe this, but then virtually all the Rezillos stuff was silly. When the punks burst onto the music scene in the mid- to late-seventies in the UK, there were two strands to the music. The first, epitomised by the Clash, were those which were political, angry, rebellious and aggressive. The second strand was the silly strand, and the Rezillos really represented that in a big way. Songs like "Flying Saucer Attack" brought this Edinburgh-based outfit some chart success. But the Rezillos were destined not to last. They struggled to change as the changes punk wrought pulled the rug from under their feet. Their second album was almost prophetic in its title and the Rezillos faded and died by the end of the decade.
