Tracy Chapman's smooth yet husky voice was distinctive enough to make this song a huge hit. It is a simple love song, at heart, about two lovers thinking about dropping everything and just driving off into the sunset together. Largely acoustic, with some added bass and drums, it was refreshingly out-of-synch with what was coming out at the time and was deservedly a huge hit. She disappeared off my radar after this and I forgot about her and the song for many years, only coming back to it when I heard it on the radio many years later. It still sounds as good, and the sentiments as pertinent, as it did when it first came out.
