When it came to the intelligent side of psychedelia, Fleetwood Mac were always out there at the leading edge. The band combined a good mix of ability and imagination, no doubt because all the drugs seemed to be taken by Peter Green in coming up with the ideas, leaving the rest of the band to concentrate on the technicalities like getting it right in the studio.
And got it right in the studio applies right on to this song. It is one of the best and most atmospheric instrumental tracks ever recorded. Listen to this on a long, languid summer's day. That guitar sound will live with you forever, I assure you. Pity the B-side is so poor.
