Most would agree most popular artists out there have something truly special to give to their fans. This goes above the typical attributes like raw talent, amazing songs, nice vocal presence, or even a very marketable look, sound & image. Theres something truly infectious at the core of some of these artists. This X-Factor component simply makes us feel good whenever we listen to these artists. Bottom Line - whatever it is - they all seem to have it.
Last week I listened to the latest CD from New York 4 piece Accidental Tribe (Resolution - 2010) Venturing to their website I get the impression Moe Cash and company take their songwriting craft very seriously. From start to finish this latest CD from AT delivers the goods and is very entertaining. It has a very strong rock-heavy quality to it and even dabbles in punk and rock popular in the 90s. Thats quite allot of musical latitude. Any fans of any of these musical styles will enjoy this latest release from AT. Its clearly marketed for those who like the musical mystique of say a Green Day, Hinder and Finger Eleven. I get the impression AT is rolling with what they knows as performers & songwriters. Favorite tracks include Track 1 (Half) and Track 3 (Subway). The CD has an amazing feel to it & is very melodic. Within each one of these compositions the group finds their musical mojo & just put it out there. The playing feels a bit loose at times and the CD is not what I would call groundbreaking a few rough edges here and there. However despite these flaws there is a sprit that is captured within each one of these recordings. The overall vibe is full tilt.
I see AT as a diamond in the rough, with an amazing amount of potential. As time goes by these cats will no doubt refine their sound somewhat. I am eager to hear what his next release will sound like from AT. This 4 piece has proven they are committed to their cause and they fit together like a hand in glove. In close most famous artists out there have it Im not so sure what it but Accidental Tribe has whatever it may be. Keep em coming guys!

ACCIDENTAL TRIBE hails from the city of New York and their latest CD, RESOLUTION, is filled with grunge/punk rock influenced music that goes very much in the direction of NIRVANA. RESOLUTION keeps you at the edge of your seat, especially when you hear the guitarist ripping his way through Looking in (From the outside), which is the best track on this CD. Another highlight is the more punk/rock based Supremist. This track reminds me when I used to see bands like 7 SECONDS every weekend. One thing I must say, this CD has a live sound feel to it. At high volume, the band sounds as if they were playing in my living room. If the band would have spend some money in mastering, this CD would sound a whole lot better. However, If you are really into this genre, you will enjoy this CD. Just do not hurt yourself stage diving off the couch!
