As Quango continues on their very exclusive and original trip through musical styles they have touched down in Reggae land. Well, Dub land is more like it but an argument may be created between the two genres. This very cool compilation takes on a more electronic side of the dub reggae sound resulting in pleasing both the reggae and electronica crowds. Dub Selector would go nicely in a CD changer next to Kruder and Dorfmeister or Thievery Foundation. Most of these songs have never even been released before let alone all on one compilation together. You have Luciano stealing the show with his heartfelt rendition of “Police & Thieves� and Sizzla bringing you “Rain Showers (Bronx Dogs Dub Mix)� mixed in with many other unheard of but equally impressive artists. There is a nice mix of instrumentals and pure dub tracks. This album will appeal to hardcore dub fans as well as curious bystanders just wanting a taste of whats out there.
