Now that every single artist in Cuba and surrounding area has some sort of release out... Just kidding, but in reality there has been an onslaught of Cuban tinged releases in the past couple years thanks greatly to the success of Ry Cooder's Buena Vista Social Club. Definitely not a bad thing for talented musicians to get discovered but for the market to get saturated is another thing. I really haven't heard a bad compilation or album come out of the area that hasn't been top notch but I have heard so many as of late. Cuba Without Frontiers is one of the better ones out there. Patato provides a couple tracks and they feature his amazing second to none, congo playing is always a treat to hear. It is a known fact that American music has been influenced by latino tinged stuff and this is as good as any compilation out there. No more though, please!
