Bong Water Taffy is/was one of the worst bands you might have heard of. If the name rings a bell it's because of a clever publicity stunt arranged by their clever manager, not because of any music they might have played.

BWT is another fine example of halfassed white boy funk. They serve up their would be P-Funk inspired party hearty tunes with all the suburban angst they can muster. The music can is best described as follows: if Def Lepard tried to be the Red Hot Chili Peppers, they would be Bong Water Taffy.

There are songs about getting high. There are songs about getting chicks and being the biggest bad-asses ever. And like President Bush and those elusive weapons of mass destruction, just because somebody said it, doesn't make it so.

There's a desperate sincerity on this CD to be liked. Bong Water Taffy needs the support of the faceless masses more than it needs weed or even pussy. It is this neediness that permeates through all the bluster and posturing. Most bands are able to strike a plausible stance and demand you notice. BWT sort of fall to their knees and beg.

The band has needs & you have needs. You listening to this won't satisfy any of them. Unless you feel the need to take some asprin.
