An excellent song from this New Zealand band, at the heart of which was Neil Finn. The single just ran round the edge of commerciality on a new wave surfboard with a choppy, hoppable rhythm and a whirling synthesiser in the background. Sadly, the band were too, well, geeky, for the stupid UK radio stations to pick up on. Hey, guys, don't you know you gotta look cool so the girls will buy your records. Musical ability is not what matters round here. Sad, but this should have been a massive hit. That it wasn't was entirely due to mainstream radio.
