Fronted by the impossibly named Bram Tchaikovsky, the Motors played a kind of no-nonsense rock and roll which came from the same stable as bands like Dr. Feelgood and Dave Edmunds. The Motors gained a solid following in the UK with tracks like "Dancing the Night Away" - driving frenetic rock songs which were not going to stretch the patience of tolerance of the listener. For some, however, this was just too simplistic but I rather feel they were missing the point. This is one of those songs which take me back to simpler days before the responsibilities and pressures of adult life really hit. Memories memories. Those indeed were the days.
