RecommendSix Degrees is back with a follow-up to the successful Asian Travels compilation. This one doesn’t go much further than the last one but the quality and diversity remains about the same. Artists include Six Degrees recording artist Karsh Kale, DJ Cheb I Sabbah, Bob Holroyd, Govinda, and Banco de Gaia among many others. The tracks are long taking you on a complete journey. Most of the tracks are over the 6 minute mark but are able to maintain your interest. The album opener is a great example of this. It’s Karsh Kale’s “Distance� with Banco de Gaia remixing it. It soft and gentle but manages to keep your interest for almost 8 minutes. One artist that I haven’t heard of before this is the MIDIval Punditz contributing a drum and bass styled track entitled “Aaja Re�. The theme remains to be Indian and Pakistani musical vibes mixed with a western electronica influence. A listen to Asian Travels 2 and you will know why Six Degrees is gaining so much momentum in the world music arena.
