Dead Prez is a basically a duo consisting of Sticman and M-1. The pair have no problem tackling the most contra+versial politics with their smooth rapping styles. They pick up where Public Enemy and N.W.A. left off preaching pro-black lyrics such as "I'm An African". The group is totally creative in their sampling and their rapping is some of the best going right now. They not only have a message but they also have talent. Obviously the duo are enraged about black political issues and have fully educated themselves on all the matters involved. They can still have a great time too such as the anthemic "It's Bigger Than Hip-Hop". Still has a message but the chorus demands a sing-along. The track "Be Healthy" also gives tips on healthy living. This is a very important album for both hip hop and black activists.
