Anti-Pop Consortium is heading into the future with this 7 song EP. There are bleeps and spacey sounds that weave their way in between Priest’s, Bean’s, and M.Sayyid’s speedy rhymes. They are sporting a new label, bidding Adieu to 75 Ark and heading into the electronica grounds with Warp, home of bands like Aphex Twin and Sqarepusher. Is this really where Anti-pop Consortium belongs? Some may argue but it seems like this revolutionary hip-hop group is not afraid to venture further than most other rap groups in the sense that they use very electronic sounding samples and scratches. The Ends Against The Middle is definitely no exception to this. Anti-pop does some very dark songs that are brooding even on a sunny day. Their lyric skills are what will take them places though. With razor sharp rhymes and lightning fast delivery there is nothing that will slow down Anti-pop Consortium. Warp will guide this group into the future.
