This single was one of those I bought because of the song's strong association with a particular period in my life - that year of complete freedom between school and university. It was one of those songs which formed a sort of soundtrack to a part of my life which was one of the happiest ever. In fact, the title could simply have been the motto to my rail journey across Europe undertaken at the time and which is the source of so many good memories. Having said that, I do not regard this as one of Bowie's greatest outputs. But as it will always be associated with the time, the place and the people for me it is therefore going to be regarded as something special as a result.
