Like almost all their remastered singles, this is a far superior version to that which features on the album, not that there is anything amiss with the album version of course. The extended version on this vinyl is backed with a superb live version of Smokey Robinson's "Tracks of My Tears" (with Stuart Adamson's Scots accent rendering the introductory words almost incomprehensible). But it is the guitar work on "Chance" which keeps dragging me back again and again to this disk. The soaring, jangly sound which was so distinctive Big Country, especially the way the guitars play out the end of the song is just classic Big Country at their best. Absolutely brilliant.
