Another reasonably passable single with a poor B-side from this Japanese version of the new romantics. "Koi no Yokan" means "Prediction of Love". Now as a song, whatever its merits, it is hard to believe that the lyrics contain such lines as -
"Your unfulfilled wish
Remained fluttering in the night sky
The winds only perplex the capricious you"
Although not the best translation, it is frankly pretty much impossible to see any English language band (Radiohead and a few examples of prog rock wankery excepted) coming up with such imagery. I have serious doubt that this sort of lyric would catch on much outside Japan though. In spite of the English title of the B-Side, this is entirely in Japanese (the word "happiness" excepted). Nevertheless, Anzenchitai were significantly different from the majority of mainstream Japanese pop - which was frankly horrible - which contributed to their incredible success in Japan in the eighties.
