MC5 - The Big Bang! (Best Of)
I don't think I need to get into how influential MC5 were and for that matter still are. MC5 may have never been fully appreciated while they were together for their relatively short 5 years but imagine rock 'n' roll without them. Anyone who has even dreamed of the sex, drugs, and rock n roll lifestyle would have MC5 to thank for creating this whole idea. With the vast amount of bands turning back to the raw rock sounds I am suprised we don't see a reunion tour of some sort. This new collection from the almighty Rhino records collects all the essential tracks ("Kick out the Jams" of course) as well as a few rarities and live tracks. A great introduction to one of the greatest American Rock 'n' Roll bands.
