Juan Garcia Herreros alias "Snow Owl" was born in Colombia, for many years, however, he has his centre of life in Vienna. Notable for his virtuoso musicianship he repeatedly forges new directions in contemporary musical design. He is one of those brilliant musicians who can tell whole stories on his customized 6-string bass guitar. To do so an artist needs enormous artistic abilities as well as life experience and an uncompromising openness for life and for all of its facets. Juan Garcia Herreros is thrice blessed with these things. His compositions are soulful and eclectic yielding delicate melodies and an enchanting musical ambiance. With "Art of Contrabass Guitar" Garcia Herreros features an impressive mixture of the past, present and future of Modern Jazz. If there is an heir of Jaco Pastorius, it could be Juan Garcia Herreros.
