May I first start off by saying what an album!!
The Classic Crime has really out done themselves with this one. Vagabonds has to be one of the best Modern rock records of the year.
Classic Crime first started off with their Debut album Albatross. Which was a very hard hitting album, and was also the best selling first week debut album with selling a little over 4,000 records on tooth and nail records. The with their Sophomore effort "The Silver Cord", which in my opinion was their greatest album so far, and their most heaviest.
Now we are up to the third release of "Vagabonds".

I'd like to review all the songs in order. Starting with "A Perfect Voice". A song very easy to sing along to. With many woahoo woahoos, that will get stuck in your head like a virus. Matt keeps the lyrics short and sweet, by saying that he'll no matter what anyone said tell the day he dies!
Moving on to the epic "Cheap shots" . A powerful song lyrically wise instrumental wise and singing wise. With matt saying "So go ahead and spit your poison out
Yeah go ahead and take your cheap shots
I've never too proud to sin,
Why don't you rub my face in it.
Yeah go ahead and spit your poison out
Yeah go ahead and take your cheap shots
I've never too proud to sin,
Why don't you rub my face in it."

like I said another easy to sing along to song with powerful lyrics and full of emotion. One of the top five songs on this album!

Next moving on to the classic rock movement of this record with is the popular single "Solar Powered Life". From what Ive heard is that it's been claimed that the song is about Matts wife. Go figure Ive think he just wrote about some hot chick. Hahira, but a 100 percent sing along song that will bring you back to those hair metal days of the 80's. I'm pretty sure parents will love this!!

Now the intense but at the sometime soft "Four Cords" another beautifully written song by Matt, and great performce by the band. The song is simple. Matt singing about this love of music. Which is great change from most songs now days just singing about the love of money and fast women. That was a great return to music matt! Music will return the favor.

Wow, on next to one of the most catchy freaking songs on the whole album next to The Happy Nihilist which is the album cover named song Vagabonds!! which is a great enjoyable song and could easily make it on the radio, but then again all the first 6 songs are easily major radio players! The song is pretty much about the band singing about their home town Seattle, WA, and adding that they as a band will be playing forever.

Now I know this isn't the last song, but this is where the album ends it's rich upbeat juice. I'm talking about" The Happy Nihilist" what a hell of a song it is! personally to me its the best song on the album. Shot me if you thing differently. It's catchy, upbeat, intense, and just kicks ass I mean you can be this "I've taught this to myself
Pile books up on the shelf
But it still hurts like hell
To trust nobody else but me"
Just awesome!

I also can't lie. The other songs on the album are also great such as Broken Mess, Everything & Nothing, and The Count, but the first 6 songs in my view point are what make the album. But all in all TCC is a great band, with an awesome new album. Now it's now as heavy as its earlier efforts and doesnt have all of its screaming matt, but this album for sure shows Matts powerful raspy voice and the one again exllent work or Robbie, Alan, Skip, and Justin. Please check this album out! Also check out "the Silver Cord" if you haven't
heard it.
