Lungfish - The Unanimous Hour
I'm new to Lungfish, this being the first album I have listened to. Before you hardcore fans get all upset at me, remember that you have to start somewhere. At first listen I felt as though I had wasted my time but as always I like to give things a chance. This album (and band for that matter) has grown attached to myself and I feel that we will have a long fruitfull relationship. About the music, these guys are a little older and street smart than the average post rock band going. The groove on this album is almost trancy and then the lead singer Daniel Higgs places his gravely yet poetic voice over top of the groove that the band presents. More than just a Dischord punk band they lean more on the groove side of things. Like I say you have to start somewhere, I can't think of a better place.
