This one one has been a long time coming! Luna is one of the most important artists to come along in the last 10 years and Dean Warham, unabashedly, is one of indie rocks most revered artists. This well deserved live album was recorded at two venues: 9:30 Club in Washington, D.C. in December 1999 (which was one of founding member Justin Harwood's final shows with Luna) and the Knitting Factory in New York in July 2000. It is a fantastic statement to their stellar live performance (I have yet to see them live but I have heard stories). The sound is amazing here and it's really hard to tell where one show ends and the other begins. In between tracks you can hear the crowd chanting for their favorite songs which provides a hominess to it. With songs pulled from every one of Luna's albums and with the great production this proves as an essential album not just for Luna fans but for anyone with the slightest interest.
