Lewis is a band that comes from Dallas, TX and takes it�s name from the band�s fondness for author C.S. Lewis. They must also be fond of the dynamics of Radiohead because that�s the vein that Lewis is in. They are a moody bunch but really know how to write interesting and innovative material. True, they do have some similarities to Radiohead but Lewis doesn�t get quite as experimental as the British band. Lewis is a band that really takes a couple listens to get into. Even So is the band�s sophomore album and first for the Deep Elm label, an apt place for Lewis to call home. Some may call Lewis an emo band but the dynamics are just too big to be confined by that tag. They play with a few electronics but they are mostly a guitar rock band. As opposed to emo bands, there are no relationship songs on Even So. Instead, the lyrics are more about finding worth in yourself and discovering humanity, both good and bad. While some may think that Lewis sounds a little too much like that other band, one things for sure, if Thom Yorke ever decides to quit Radiohead, Brett Tohlen from Lewis is a shoe-in for the position. No one will know the difference.
