"Bomb In A Birdcage" is truly a keeper. Why? Because the critics hated "One Cell In The Sea". It is a record where "Alison Sudol" flirts off her best potential (So far). A record that incorporates better vocal performance blended with good harmonies of piano's and strings which is a strong point of the album. But this might be a little too radio-friendly, but not that much. It's quite beautiful.
"Blow Away" is a fine composition from Alison. A lighthearted wonder filled with Indie Pop goodness and has the sunniest chorus of all the tracks in the record. "Electric Twist" has "Bird And The Bees" in it and the title of the track pretty much tells it all.
Yet, the second half of the record is not that lively. Got a bit mellow I think. But not enough to prevent you from purchasing the record. She sounds better in this album that's the big point. So if you are a Indie Pop fanatic you just might be able to find this album... Quite Fun!!!
