Call me nuts, call me crazy, but Kid Silver sounds so similar to Ian McCulloch of Echo and the Bunnymen fame. I'm not saying that Kid Silver sounds like Echo just Ken Griffin's (formerly of Rollerskate Skinny) voice. The orchestration on Dead City Sunbeams is far more complex than any Echo album and far more lush. I think fan's of Ian McCulloch would really take to Kid Silver though. In reality Kid Silver has a very bright outlook on life and the music shows it. The album is filled with happy melodies and pleasant orchestrations. A little more upbeat than Jetset is normally known for but also a nice variety to their outstanding catalog.
