Ten Bears are definitely a hot tip for unsigned act of 2009, and one of the most exciting indie bands gracing Manchester this year. Theyve been picking up airtime on Radio 1 and playing venues and festivals across the country, winning fans wherever they go.
Back in the guitar mecca, they managed to pack out the Ruby Lounge to the seams, entertaining throughout with tracks liek 'Charlie' and 'Open Up Your Eyes'. Their superbly edgy CosmicDirtRock sound and amazing energy live they manage to be fresh and raw all at once Sam Hammonds aloof charm is also deadly when deployed. The single 'Dirt On The Radio' is a lovely slice of indie pop at it's best - The Kinks' style guitars, wierd percussion and sparkling energy.
With a new record in the pipeline, hopefully well be hearing a lot more from them very soon...
