Seems as though Capital Records let another great album slip away. Originally scheduled for release on the major label the band backed out thinking that they would just get lost in the shuffle like what happens to so many bands. Capital's loss is our gain, with Ida being on the new and upcoming label, Tigerstyle, the band gets to stay with an eclectic crowd and one that they rightly deserve. They have been around in various incarnations since 1992 and have released 3 full-lengths on the label Simple Machines. On Will You Find Me, Ida has found the perfect chemistry for their mellow sweet music. This isn't sad music. It is quiet but beauty surrounds it all. They may have re-recorded a couple of old tracks but they fit in seamlessly with the new material. Tara Jane O'Neil (Retsin / Rodan), Warren Defever (His Name Is Alive), Bernie Worrell (P-Funk) all make contributions to this great slowcore album. Sit down, turn the lights low, maybe light some candles and relax with this album as the soundtrack.
