RecommendThis new Calgary phenomenon has taken off. Hot Little Rocket are a brand new four piece rock band that have really taken the city by storm. It has been a long time since anyone has talked about a band in this fashion. This EP is a great first effort showing off their smart and catchy rock sensibilities. Laika comes off as a very original fresh guitar rock sound even though borrowing a lot from bands such as Jawbreaker. Dynamics are what Hot Little Rocket are best at with the ability to go from noisy hooks right to the mellower Train Jumper. This band has that perfect chemistry and could go very far if the right people hear it.
