Once again, Ekova's Diedre DuBois proves that music is a language that needs no actual words to comprehend. The odd time you may catch a word you may comprehend but if you are listening to world music it's the music that talks to you anyway. Ekova can be delicate if they choose but if they need to get a hard rocking dance number across they pull it off. The band even decide to cover a track called "Cruel Sister" from English folk band Pentangle and provide quite a haunting but beautiful rendition. Even though Ekova come off as being a world music group you can tell that they have their pulse on the state of popular music as well. The other two members of the band (Arash Khalatbari and Mehdi Haddab) are the integral part of the group with their outstanding knowledge of worldly instruments and electronic remixing methods as well. Ekova is a band for the future that will bring the world together in a musical rejoice.
