Tenisha "SwagHer" McQueen was born & raised in Wilmington, NC. She was raised by her mother Tracy Hall-Myers along with her 3 sisters. SwagHer was introduced to music at a very young age. She grew up listening to TLC, Mary J. Blige, & Destiny's Child just to name a few. She soon after got into rap music. SwagHer favorites as a child range from 2pac to Biggie Smalls, Lauryn Hill to Common, 504 boys to the Hotboyz & Lil Wayne. SwagHer recalls putting aluminum foil on her teeth rapping "Bling Bling" with her cousins mimicking artist of her liking. Tenisha coming up played sports including Soccer, volleyball, softball, track & field, & her favorite basketball just as much as she played music. She began writing rhymes in middle school then songs in high school. It wasn’t until late 2010 that she took her talents serious enough to come out with her own line of music. Her first mixtape "I Just Wanna Be Heard" was released on her 21st Birthday, July 31st of 2011.
