Rosamojo & The White Rabbit is the Rock/Pop/Melodramatic Bastard Child of Maria Rosa Young. Hailing from Harlesden she now lives in Camden Town creating 'a medicine cabinet of contrary concoctions which may or may not harm you'. With a family tree as diverse as her music style (Spanish, Barbados, Irish, Welsh, Scottish and Russian) she blends rock, punk pop and blues inspired by an array of artists from Bolan & Bowie to Billie Holliday. Jazz Summers of Big Life Records compared her vocal style to Patti Smith/Debbie Harry, and producer Juni Morrison (ex-funkadelic, soul2soul) has described her as one of the most talented songwriters he has worked with.
As well as playing the usual gig venues Young's brand of rock n roll feminism has also rocked other legendary places. At The National Portrait Gallery she played 'Sex IT Rocks!' in-front of the Queens portrait and @ 'The Hackney Empire' unleashed the darkly inspired 'MediEVIL Love Song'. Living with dissociation and recovering from M.E her songs reflect 'mischief, lunacy, obsessions, primal magic and the bloody guts of the human soul'. She holds a guitar, a white rabbit and a BA (HONS) Degree in Philosophy & Applied Psychology specializing in identity, myth and witch burning of the feminine psyche & body.
