Rebecca Sullivan was born in Wellington New Zealand.  She moved around a lot as a child, and lived in 4 different states and 3 different countries.  She was always the new girl growing up, and felt like an outsider much of the time.  

 Rebecca has always been passionate about music, but was very shy as a child and teen. She was never the girl who got solos in the choir, and always felt a little bit awkward in social situations.  When she was 16, she picked up the guitar for the first time, and fell in love with the process of playing guitar and singing - when she did this, she felt peace.

She put the guitar down for a few years, but felt empty without music in her life.  Rebecca was inspired to pick it up again after watching the movie "Once," and has been slowly writing songs since then.  She writes about things everyone can relate to, such as feeling awkward, eating chocolate after a break up, getting frustrated when a guy sends text messages instead of calling, and 'unfriending' someone on facebook.  Her songs are catchy yet deep, with clever lyrics.  

 Rebecca hopes that her music will touch people the way music has touched her life.
